When you think of office supplies, what is the first image that pops into your head? Well, depending who you are and what your personality type, it could range anywhere from a vision of a perfectly organized prissy looking desk with lots of pink post it notes to (now envision this) a red sign carrying an image of colorful paperclips with a slash through it (you know kind of like a no smoking or no skateboarding sign).
What I am trying to say is lots of women (and guys) love office supplies. It is just like a Christmas present to get a new box of office supplies and open it up to see what you got.
I hear it all the time, and believe it or not, I am surprised by the amount of people who are surprised that they derive such enjoyment from a box of office supplies.
They think this must mean their lives are such crap that they get a kick out of something as lowly as office supplies. Hah! Everyone loves office supplies (at least in the corners of their heart).
Yes, even those of you who wear clothes to protect your clothes and get your hands all dirty and act all manly and all. You, who don't believe you can be motivated by office supplies.
Office supplies can include mechanic office supplies as well. Have you ever seen one of those trolleys that you can scoot around on in the garage that has a little stool and a shelf to hold tools. That gadget is cool. I bought one of those for my dad because he was having trouble getting up and down while he worked on brakes and so forth.
Trolleys are technically office supplies. If you are working on a car, you are technically in the "office" and the trolley is a "supply" for that office. Even workbenches and parts bins are office supplies! See how simple that concept is? Now, all you mechanics out there...doesn't that excite you just the least bit?
Architects and engineers use all kinds of office supplies and look how manly they are! There are drafting squares and templates, brushes, drawing leads, the list just goes on and on.
Artists use office supplies, no matter how free spirited and "outside the box" they think they are, they still have to pick up the occasional pencil, eraser and, yes, even paints, brushes and pastel pencils are office supplies. Because no matter where an artist is working, guess where they are...yep, in the "office".
So see, it really simple after all. Office supplies are for everyone... the manly, the prissy, the unorganized, the organized, the CNC shop worker and the one who sells cell phones for less than what the phone companies rip you off for on their websites.
