Who wants to work on a fine Saturday morning, when everybody else is having fun outside with their families, watching a movie, bowling, or doing any recreational activity? Who wants to exhaust his/her self out while doing an inch-thick report during the weekends?
I am sure you don't as I don't want to as well. Not that anyone wants all play and no work, but Saturday, along with Sunday, has generally been a rest day for working individuals when they can enjoy the fruits of the labor.
However, working on Saturdays has already become a generally accepted idea among some companies that employees don't care anymore. After all, it's better to have a job during bad times like this than having to rest inside the home for a good few months because of unemployment. Just pay the Saturday wages and I guess that's already good enough for most of us.
You will just have to exert a whole lot of effort, though, during Saturdays. It still is typical to sleep late into the night during the Friday evenings, so waking up in the morning to work can be really frustrating. Better have somebody to blow a whistle to wake you up during these Saturday mornings than do it yourself. You might just end up a few minutes--or even a few hours--late.
Ah well, what can I say. Work is work and it has to be accomplished, even if it's already a Saturday. Just don't extend it to Sunday, please.
