There are times when it is really difficult to find a decent work, no thanks to the fierce competition you have to handle with people. Interviews can be really nasty, especially if you have to make the interview together with your co-applicants. I believe that more than the shame of making a mistake during the interview, what's more irritating is that you will have to listen to how your co-applicants eloquently and intelligently answer the questions thrown at them. Why do these smart people have to compete with you for that post? Why?Then, probably because of a miracle, you were the one chosen for the job. Woohoo! You throw a party with your friends, hoping that you will find happiness doing this job. After all, this is the job you have wanted so badly that you endured the endless smart talks coming from your competitors.
Years passed and it shows that you were wrong. This is not your dream job after all. You do not want to crunch numbers inside your cubicle anymore. The prospect of computing where the company's money go for more years come seems to be like nightmare. But what shall you do? The compensation package is more than what you have ever dreamed of. You can't just throw that away. What will you choose: what makes you happy or what makes your pockets filled with money?
This is one of the questions that have bothered hundreds of worker before you, splitting apart in their decisions. Here's my personal advice though. Choose what makes you happy. If you found a job that you think will improve yourself, then go and leave that number-crunching job. In the end, it's all about the happiness we get from what we do. What about the money? You don't have to go slaving away for extra bucks. You can actually earn more than that by starting a business--involving what you really love doing! In the meantime, maybe you will have to cut up your telephone costs...
