Marketing in an Exhibit

Marketing a product is something that is not accomplished in one day's time. Universities won't be offering degrees in marketing if that is such an easy task, right? Marketing is a complex process divided into different phases.

For starters, one way you can market your products is through fairs, exhibits and other conventions. These activities are usually launched by business organizations, so ask your local organization when they plan to have an exhibit. Sometimes, educational institutions hold their own events, which you may sponsor and have the opportunity to introduce and sell your product to the attendees.

Exhibits serve as a place for business owners to introduce their products to the world. I have personally been to some, and I must say that they are good ways to let your company be known. Some new food brands introduce themselves through taste tests (I must say that this is my favorite form of introducing a product hehe). Gadgets are being demonstrated on the spot. Some non-food products also give away free samples. Many of these, and this is just from my observation, are marketed to the public through sampling and demonstration. What better way is there than seeing how the products work, anyway?

And of course, there is the traditional way of giving out brochures and pamphlets or through the use of tabletop displays during these conventions. Information dissemination. That's what it's called. But I believe that they are better off only as a compliment to the demonstration. After all, only a few would mind to read and read through your brochures.

So there are some of your ways to market during an exhibit. May you get something out of the little I have said and successfully create a buzz in the market.
