You can never be sure with the people who ship your goods.Last month, my mother sent us a box of goods from Kuwait. She works as a manager in a McDonald's branch there and says that many commodities there, such as canned goods, sugar, soaps, jam, and other items are way cheaper there than here in the Philippines. I assume this is also because Kuwait produces so much oil while only consuming a little of it so transportation of goods is way cheaper
there.
Anyway, we received the package a month later by sea freight. To our dismay, upon opening, we found out that the package was not handled well and, so, the contents of some dishwashers there spilled over all the goods. It has been a tiring night and yet we had to clean everything up. What a mess. Because of this, some of the items went straight to the wastebasket.
Perhaps it's also due to the weakness of the box where the package was shipped in. It was slightly damaged and I guessed it couldn't carry the pressure of a month of handling during the shipping period.
Of course what was done was done and there is no point of crying over spilled milk. I just posted to remind you people to check your packages first before officially receiving them. That was our only fault. We did not check it first. We immediately signed up. Well, most of you do that, don't you?
While we here at Office 1000 strive hard to make sure that packages do come in quality condition, mistakes may happen. So do remember to check your packages before signing that recipient field.
