The 3 R's

Probably it is in animated shows, or probably it is shown in movies or the like, or probably it goes on around you, I am not sure. I am certain, however, that a room filled with a lot of crumpled paper is not a new scene to you. It is interesting to find out that, even though we are in a digital age, home offices and office cubicles still overflow with a lot paper thrown away. I have no statistical data to back me up but it is evident that these tons of paper will not go away any time soon. It goes without saying that the need to reduce our paper waste should be fulfilled now. We are continuously depleting our rain forests just to provide utilities we dispose of without second thoughts. I think you are all-too familiar with the green quote, 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle'. It especially holds true for paper products. - Reduce - Reduce your paper use as much as possible. Hey, what is that computer turned on for if you are going to compose your drafts on that new piece of paper. You could also reduce use of paper by reducing your memos. If you can say it directly to your colleague or your boss, or who else, then do so.
- Reuse - This is also something that people fail to look at. Like what people say, if the other side of the paper is still empty, then don't throw it away just yet. You may still use it as a scratch paper to make some calculations--or even your letter's draft if you really can't help it.
- Recycle - Some pieces of paper just can't be reused anymore, so it's time to put them in the recycle bin and send them to the nearest recycling center instead of throwing them to your office's dump.
