Don't you just miss your landline phone? Well, personally, I do. It's because right now all I have is a mobile phone. Portable, yes, but it does not have those curly cords I used to play with and are present in the ordinary landlines.
Of course with mobile phones you'll immediately find out who is calling. With landlines, however, it's somewhat a mystery. You'll never know who called. It's sometimes--just SOMETIMES--fun to do this kind of things. In case you don't like to have fun, then go ahead and buy yourself a caller ID.
Speaking of landline units and caller IDs, I would like to tell you that we them here! Yes, it's kinda an old concept, but having yourself a landline and a caller ID is still for keeps. Imagine how many people have their caller IDs today? You're one of the few!
Anyway, for now what I will be presenting is this landline telephone from IIT. Technically, there's nothing really new here...analogue volume controls with an electronic ringer. It's covered by a 5-year insurance, assuring you that this product is really top-of-the-line.
To partner this landline, we have the Caller ID Type 1 Box from FA. It basically has an LCD screen which can store up to a maximum of 72 entries and it only take 3 AAA batteries to make tit work. Feel free to check out the technical descriptions.
With these classic-looking things, you'll get to get to go back to the past when VoIP was not yet introduced. So who cares if owning a landline plus a caller ID is old-schoolish and corny?
