Have you ever stopped what you were doing to try and decide whether the darn phone was ringing again. How many times have you run to answer it and pick it up just to hear the click of the caller on the other end as they hang up?Frustrating isn't it? If you work in an area where the phone ringer is muffled by other noise surrounding it, or perhaps the phone is in a different place than where you are working and you can't hear it well, there is a solution.
I work from home so I had to find something that would allow me to hear the ringing phone no matter where I happened to be, or what I happen to be doing.
The first thing I tried was to move the phone into a central location so perhaps if I was at either end of the house I would still hear it. Nope. As soon as I started the vacuum cleaner, the phone would ring.
Next, I decided to try a hearing impaired phone ringer on the phone. That worked! I could actually hear the phone ringing over the sweeper, the TV, the radio and even the kids playing games at the dining room table.
My husband always tells me I am hard of hearing anyway, so maybe this was an alternative just for me.
