Today's largest corporations did not come out of the blue like some magical entity. They started from somewhere, and like a plant that eventually grew into a giant-like tree, these companies started small and eventually expanded. These companies had so many competitors when they were small (and even now that they are gigantic), but not everyone grew into the powerful corporations they are today. What made them grew and the others not? There has to be a difference somewhere, right? I think that a presentable waiting area is very important to most places of business. I think this holds especially true in doctors offices or places where health is concerned. If you enter a dirty, run down building with an uninviting waiting room, odds are you are not going to feel comfortable. I think some things that are important to have are things of visual interest. Like a painting or an aquarium. Things that people can look at to maybe take their minds of a doctors visit or make them relax before an important interview or meeting. Comfortable chairs are important to. As the purpose of a waiting room is for people to wait, it is important that they do not mind waiting there. If I am uncomfortable, I am sure going to be irritable and impatient and those are not welcome feelings to have. So I think it is important for people to take note of the first thing people see when they enter an office, the waiting room.
