Everything these days is getting cheaper. Yeah right..you say? With the price of gas rising and food getting out of sight, the fact remains is that you can buy technology cheaper than ever before. Go into an electronics store and look at TV's or computers. Can you buy something much much better for less than a year ago? That's what I'm talking about!Desks are no exception. Why go out and buy a used desk at a flea market, garage sale or second hand store, when you can go get a shiny new one for a tad bit more? Sure you might find a great buy somewhere, but then what? You have to lug the thing home and then get it inside the house. Why not just order one and have it delivered and installed right in your office?
There is no shortage of selections in a new desk, but one thing they all are....is empty without cobwebs and someone else's leftover lunch crumbs in the corners of the drawers! It smells so good. Desk enthusiasts tell me it is just like the smell of a new car for them.
Get a desk with a tack board and a credenza. You will have a perfect gallery of picture potential and a great way to organize all of your binders out of sight or at least so that they look nice in the overhead storage.
You could also get a flat desk and get a desk organizer for the top. The organizer can hold everything from your telephone to folders, binders, notepads, and so much more. There are many types to choose from.
Even just a plain old desk with a drawer for hanging folders and a lap drawer will bring even the most heinously unorganized worker into some organization (at least for a little while until there are crumbs in the corners of the drawers!) Then it's time to either get your vacuum out or go buy a new desk and give the old one to your kids!
