My product introduction for today is the grease marking pencil. This all purpose wax pencil has a myriad of uses. It was made in the mid to late 19th century by many of the same companies who then entered the wax crayon market later on such as Prang (the American Crayon Company) and Crayola (Binney and Smith). This versatile pencil is used for many things. It is most useful for writing on surfaces that are hard, non-porous and/or glossy like glass, porcelain, plastic, ceramics, photo paper and other polished or lacquered surfaces. It is also very popular among handymen, since it rarely scratches the surface it is marking on.
