Sometimes I wish I had about three extra hours of daylight in each day. There never seems to be enough time to get everything done.

I guess you have to make a priority list and work from the top down. But what happens when you never make it to the bottom of the list?

Even though I am a girl, I thoroughly enjoy my garage that is fitted out with a great tool chest filled with shiny power and hand tools.

I love doing projects at home, and what a great addition to my workshop was the awesome workbench that my husband bought for me!

What is the key to happiness in your office environment?

Let's face it, even though we aren't in high school any more, people really just don't change all that much. If I had to choose one aspect of office behavior that is the most important for maintaining harmony, it would be attitude.

There are lots of types of folks out there; people who flourish when around other people, people who would just rather keep to themselves and get the job done, people who strive to make everyone's work day a success by being friendly and helpful, and yet others who want EVERYONE'S workday to be as miserable as their own.

Four handy things to do with self sealing laminate sheets

Of all the office supplies that we handle every day, I have found one of my favorites in a self laminating sheet of plastic.

My favorite thing to do is to find new things that I can enclose in a protective layer of plastic to keep them in great shape forever! The best thing about self laminating sheets is that you don't have to have a special machine to use with them. All you do is peel the backing and stick it on.

School shopping isn't fun for me any more

I used to love the back to school time of year. My shopping sickness and I were very gleeful to pick out colorful school supplies for each of my four kids in elementary and middle school.

Several things happened to take away my delight in this wonderous time of year, which to me due to my love of colorful office supplies, was better than Christmas.

Three important things to do if you want to get anything done

In my office, I tend to put aside the things I really don't feel like dealing with at any given time. That is fine as long as you go back and actually deal with it later.

Many times I would find myself going through stacks of paperwork a foot high because I was shoving it aside all in one pile. Had I organized it when I set it aside in the first place, it may have not looked like such a daunting task to work on some of it.

Great way to hear your ringing phone no matter how noisy it is in your home office

Have you ever stopped what you were doing to try and decide whether the darn phone was ringing again. How many times have you run to answer it and pick it up just to hear the click of the caller on the other end as they hang up?

Frustrating isn't it? If you work in an area where the phone ringer is muffled by other noise surrounding it, or perhaps the phone is in a different place than where you are working and you can't hear it well, there is a solution.
