When you think of baby monitors, it pretty much tops the list to think of a cute little human reasting in their crib while everyone tiptoes around trying not to wake them up. The baby monitor next to their crib can be the best sound you could hear if you are fresh and alert and ready for the baby to wake up and play with them. It can also be a not so wonderful thing to hear after you've only slept for about two hours at a time with a newborn. These are some OTHER things that baby monitor COULD be useful for. Bear in mind, these may sometimes only be used by professionals and should never be attempted at home: - Put a baby monitor in the bathroom and when your favorite shower singer winds up for a ballad, turn it on in the living room and amuse guests
- Use it (now this is a serious one) as a baby HORSE monitor. Put in the mare's foaling stall, so when the time comes, you can be at the ready
- Tape a baby monitor to the belly of a trapeze artist, so you can REALLY hear what they are saying up there (and I will bet they aren't singing...he flies through the air, with the greatest of ease...)
- Put a baby monitor in areas of your workplace that will catch the best gossip, so you will know everything that is going on (probably illegal and do so at your own risk)
- Put one in the garage, so you can hear what your husband is really saying about you to his friends while they are hanging out (probably also illegal)
- Strap a baby monitor to your school age child and hear what is really going on in the classroom (probably illegal, but it definitely SHOULDN'T be considering the schools in California that suspending a bunch of students for not honoring the day of silence for gays...and I am not kidding about that)
I am sure you can think of many clever uses, and if you think of one you should post it here, cause I am always up for trying out new ideas. Tags: baby monitor • crazy uses • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

The first patent on a ballpoint pen was issued on October 30, 1888, to John J Loud. In 1938, László Bíró, a Hungarian newspaper editor, with the help of his brother George, a chemist, began to work on designing new types of pens including one with a tiny ball in its tip that was free to turn in a socket. As the pen moved along the paper, the ball rotated, picking up ink from the ink cartridge and leaving it on the paper. Bíró filed a British patent on June 15, 1938. In 1940 the Bíró brothers and a friend, Juan Jorge Meyne, moved to Argentina fleeing Nazi Germany and on June 10, filed another patent, and formed Bíró Pens of Argentina. By the summer of 1943 the first commercial models were available. Erasable ballpoint pens were introduced by Papermate in 1979 when the Erasermate was put on the market. Quilling, or the art of paper sculpture, is a great way to make some gifts that will be remembered for a lifetime, and there is no limit to the creative ideas you can have for patterns. Quilling ideas can be geared for any theme; weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and can be used to adorn many different things like envelopes or boxes, scrapbooks, you name it.It does not take much of an investment to get started, which I think is the best part. A few items that you will need (really pretty much ALL you need) are: - A paper quilling tool or a metal tool with a tiny slot in one end
- A pack of quilling paper, which you can buy in multi color packs and sizes
- Some white glue and hatpins or toothpicks to apply it
- A sheet of Con-tact-brand clear adhesive-backed paper
- A clipboard or a 9" X 12" piece of heavy cardboard can serve as a flat work surface
With just these few items, you can be on your way to quilling an idea you can find online, in books or one you have designed yourself. Tags: quilling • quilling ideas • quilling tools • 0 Comments. - Permalink |
