For people who are stressed and overworked, the office is not a place to be in if you want to be relaxed. For them, this is the last place you'll associate with the words, "fun" and "vacation". In one my classes, I had an old professor who still preferred to use an overhead projector for his lectures and printed his slides on inkjet transaparencies, even though a digital projector is just around. For those who are already behind their teenage years, what was your room like back then? If you are still a teenagaer, what does your room look like now? I am pretty certain that at one point or another, your room's walls was decorated with at least one poster or at least one collectible. Portability of an object may mean a lot nowadays. The more compact and the more portable an item is, the more likely will it be chosen by consumers in the market. As the world starts to integrate into one economic unit, we can see that people are moving and migrating from place to place at unprecedented rates, which may well be the reason why they go for portables. An object's portability has its drawbacks, naturally. The most obvious among these drawbacks is its relative weakness compared to their larger counterparts. We can see it in a lot of items--computers, game stations, televisions sets, and even mini staplers--that it is always a struggle between portable and power. Between two products of the same generation, the non-portable is usually the more powerful. This is obviously because of the fact that portables have less capacities hardware-wise (which results to lighter weight). It is also a matter of price. Portables, for all their weaker capacities, are sometimes much more expensive. There are portables that are extravagantly priced, such as the Macbook Air, while some others are cheaper yet expensive. Ah well, every convenience that we get has a price. As long as consumers find the price right, and the features adequate, they will continue to purchase these portables and portables will continue to flood the market. Now I am waiting for a car that can be carried around inside a briefcase. Do you happen to know where I can find one? Tags: mini staplers • portables • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

When working with scrapbooks or other paper-based projects, there will always be dirty work involved. It's not all about decorating the project. it is also about cutting papers, gluing pieces together, and what not. Well, to some this may be dirty work, but for others, it is a part of the process and it is equally enjoying. Now, my concern in this blog post is not whether you enjoy the dirty work or not. My concern is about the little things that might damage the art-making experience. For instance, there is a chance that you will cut through the surface once you use a cutter to cut out your paper and boards. This is something that we will not want to happen, of course. I've already had the same problems before. I always had to be extra careful with the careful of risk putting some slashes on my wooden table and irritate my aunt who owns the table. These little things don't mean a lot, but they are things that we want to avoid, nevertheless. For this particular problem, there are so many ways that we can use to go around it. For one, we can always use hard surfaces to avoid the risk of slashing them. If those surfaces are not available inside your place, you can purchase these self-healing cutting mats for your perusal. I had the chance to use one before, and I must say that it helps that I don't have to worry about slashing the surface anymore. As for the other little problems, we'll talk about them in a little while. Tags: cutting mats • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

So you get down on that seat and start to pore through the massive number of documents that you have to read through and through. Honestly, would you ever dare and read these documents, especially if they are about things remotely related to what you want and what you are supposed to do? I bet not. I bet that you will have to use a highlighter in order to get the information that only you need. Here in Office 1000, I have seen a number of highlighters, and each one of them differ from one another depending on the type of user they targetm affordability, and, of course, brand name. With the wide array of highlighters here (and other office supplies as well), it is difficult not to get what you need. So let us say that the documents need to be photocopies so that some other unfortunate colleague can read it. What is important for him/her might not be that important to you, and vice versa. So highlighting lines of texts wih the use of a pen is already out of the question. What you need is something a bit clearer and something that won't reflect on the photocopied copies. What you need is a highlighter tape, which is exactly what Lee Products has. Lee Refillable/Removable Tape is a non-toxic adhesive product that will allow you to highlight texts in your documents without the need for ink. Transparent yet colored, these tapes will not reflect on photocopied materials. Enjoy highlighting without sharing. Let others do their own highlighting with these highlighter tapes. Does your office hold a special day for a potluck lunch once a year? Well, here at Greg's office, it's one of the office's biggest days.Potluck lunches in the office can become the worst day for someone who barely knows to cook, if at all. It's the day when coworkers go on and show off their cooking skills and show people those secret recipes that they have held on to for so long. It's fine and well those who know or those who love to cook. It's already a normal thing among cooking enthusiasts. For non-cooks, however, these events may underline their ignorance when it comes to field of cooking. They are usually the ones whom you will see huddled in a corner, probably beside the magazine rack, oblivious to his surroundings--much unlike the enthusiasts who talk and talk about the food. Do not dare to talk to these people (the non-cooks), or they might get embarrassed. A humiliated coworker is a dangerous coworker, mind you. And there are those who just don't care. They just don't see the point of fussing over potluck lunch for weeks. These days are certainly insignificant to them. So what do they bring when potluck day comes? Well, Greg will show us what their contributions look like. Care to get his recipe? Tags: potluck lunch • videos • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

One common perception is that you can order office supplies from a large discount retailer such as Staples, and because they are so large they will offer you better prices on everything. The reality is that Staples does have better prices on some things. Their sale items are a big pull to get you there hoping you will buy other things that are perhaps...not such a good deal.
