Don't you just miss your landline phone? Well, personally, I do. It's because right now all I have is a mobile phone. Portable, yes, but it does not have those curly cords I used to play with and are present in the ordinary landlines. Of course with mobile phones you'll immediately find out who is calling. With landlines, however, it's somewhat a mystery. You'll never know who called. It's sometimes--just SOMETIMES--fun to do this kind of things. In case you don't like to have fun, then go ahead and buy yourself a caller ID. Speaking of landline units and caller IDs, I would like to tell you that we them here! Yes, it's kinda an old concept, but having yourself a landline and a caller ID is still for keeps. Imagine how many people have their caller IDs today? You're one of the few! Anyway, for now what I will be presenting is this landline telephone from IIT. Technically, there's nothing really new here...analogue volume controls with an electronic ringer. It's covered by a 5-year insurance, assuring you that this product is really top-of-the-line. To partner this landline, we have the Caller ID Type 1 Box from FA. It basically has an LCD screen which can store up to a maximum of 72 entries and it only take 3 AAA batteries to make tit work. Feel free to check out the technical descriptions. With these classic-looking things, you'll get to get to go back to the past when VoIP was not yet introduced. So who cares if owning a landline plus a caller ID is old-schoolish and corny? OK, I am now running out of topics to talk about, so I will now resort to direct selling of products (this time, at least). What I will be trying to woo you into buying are these chairs from no other than National Public Seating. As you might have probably figured out from our past entries, National Public Seating is one of our major suppliers of chairs that you may use practically everywhere but were originally meant for office use. If not for them, I won't be showing you these chairs. Of course, there are the usual stack chairs used mainly to save some space when they are not in use. They are relatively affordable and with filled a good cushioning. Here in office 1000, we have both formal stack chairs for formal gatherings, and heavy-duty ones for any purpose you may think of. Aside from these stack chairs, we also have high swivel stools that, in my take, are perfect for your office's bar, in case it has one. They are heavy-duty and classy, but I do not think they would make a fine addition to your office's lobby. And of course, you will need movers of these stack of chairs to serve your different purposes. You can't just carry those 100-something chairs stacked together, right? So for that kind of use, I suggest having one of these storage dollies, also from National Public Seating. So, remember, for your seating needs, there's only one place to go to here in the Web--and that would be Office 1000 and National Public Seating Tags: stools • stack chairs • storage dollies • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Why do CEOs and company presidents like to play gold, of all sporting activities out there? I dunno. I am not against playing golf, but why do many bosses like to play the game? Do they really like to play the game or is it just because it's a ticket to join the elite club of CEOs? I sometimes cannot help but think that they play the game just to socialize with other big bosses who really love the game. It's probably a business strategy to know more about your potential partners--or even potential competitors. I somewhat think that it's a way for big bosses to know more about the secrets of the trade, to find out the weaknesses of their opponents in the businesses and eventually dump them. I sometimes think that, by holding down a notebook and golf pencil, expertly swinging a club and making birdies, it shows that you are a master of the trade--WRONG! Of course, good golfing skills has never been an indicator of superb management prowess. In fact, some of the worst CEOs are so good in gold that they are already addicted to it, forgetting their other commitments. Talk about hasty generalizations. Haha. Or it's probably because that, even if it's a strategy-filled game, it's a less tiring job that any boss can actually play. I think it would sound dull for anyone not to have a sport to play, but these bosses probably don't like to break a sweat and so they play gold. Besides, there's always the elite CEO club to look forward to... Tags: golf pencils • notebooks • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Won't you feel proud if you were tasked by your boss to be the head organizer of your office's party? I would, if I were you. That just means that people trust you enough to head such an occassion. Do not be complacent, though. Your actions are bound to eyed, and organizing a corporate party might make or break your career. There are many points to consider and do in order to make your party a hit. - Set a budget. More or less, your boss will tell you how much would you spend, but when he/she doesn't give any price, be sure to make it reasonable enough that it fits the size of your office well.
- Always ask your colleagues for advice. Sure, you have the final say over things, but it's better for your colleagues to know that their opinions matter.
- Choose a theme for your party, as this will determine the equipments you will need. Is it a Christmas party? A Halloween party? What?
- The hard part of organizing any party, of course, is the logistics aspect. Getting equipments, sound systems, freebies, renting a place, etc. If your company is well-off, then hiring a sub-organizer will be welcome. If not, then it's your job to accomplish this grueling task. After all, you can do this, as your superiors trusted you can, right? Or better yet, don't rent equipments from external sources anymore when they you have them in your office anyway! Just make sure to return those folding chairs in their caddy. Hehe.
- Always cheer up and bring about the fun side in you. After all, this is a party and not a corporate meeting. While it is a fact that you need to careful with your actions, putting in fun and creativity to your party will definitely not hurt.

I believe I have done a previous post before differentiating fax copies fro printed-from-email copies of documents before. I believe that I highlighted that fax copies are better for formal documents as fax copies are considered as legal documents by various agencies. Email copies are better for all the rest since they are more economical and faster than fax copies. If you are more of a fax person, then we have here a couple of products you will need when operating a fax machine. These are necessary albeit simple things that will keep your company going. One thing that you will need is, of course, fax paper to print your messages on. This is obviously necessary that missing it is almost impossible--considering that you can run a company. of course paper needed for fax machines are not of the ordinary kind. They should be thermally resistant but highly sensitive. We have them here. Another essential tool that you will be needing is a fax switch, which is basically the brain of your fax system. Here in Office 1000, Command Communication's fax switches have one phone line and three device ports. You may check out other technical specifications by checking out the webpage dedicated to them. Note that they are not expensive, too. For now, this is what we will be offering here. There are actually more fax devices sold here, which you may want to check out. In the meantime, please do regularly visit this website for future releases of the latest fax operation tools. Tags: fax paper • fax control switches • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Caring for your computer is a necessity, just like how we should care for every property that you own (as well as others'). Leaving your computer in mess would be just like leaving your partner in mess. I have browsed some websites regarding some ways on how you can care for your computer and I will share them to you. Think Quest has given some of the essential must-do's: - One obvious thing to do is to keep you workstation clean. Don't you just feel uneasy when you are doing your work in a clutter then you'll have a hard time looking for the keyboard because it's buried under a thick mess of paper? Keep in another place those things which are not related to your computer work.
- You should also save your work often. Who knows, there might be fluctuations in the current and your computer might just suddenly restart, removing all those unsaved data.
- Hold disks and CD ROMs by the edges. This will make sure that the medium in which the data was put is clean and still readable.
- Close all programs before turning down your computer. This will ensure that the shut down process and no continuous process is taking effect even after you have turned down the machine.
- Do not bring food and drinks near your computer. This is pretty obvious, I believe. You will never know when accidents happen. You might just drop your drink and poof! your electrocuted.
- Clean your computer with a vacuum cleaner and remove dust from it. No one would want dirt to accumulate, am I right?
- Finally, you should also put magnets away from your machine. This is because they can erase data and destroy your machine at the same time. That would be a terrific mess if ever.

Just like lecterns, other furnitures will also make an effect into your event. With creaking chairs and broken tabletops, who would want to transact with you? And so, the quest for the best chairs is also coming. And we've got them here in the Office 1000 list. I have included here three kinds of chairs whose uses vary from event to event so you might want to go on checking them. First, naturally, are these plain types of folding chairs. There is nothing exactly attractive or outstanding with these furnitures but they are cheap and are good for practically most purposes. Don't worry. Office 1000's folding chairs are heavy duty so you do not have to worry about overweight people falling down. ON the one side, a meeting may not just be a meeting. It might even be a lecture type of meeting. A classroom type of meeting. A college-type of meeting (Don't you just love memories?). In this case, armchairs like this one from National Public Seating are good enough, especially for those rooms where space is a major constraint. The tablets on top of the seats can fold against the chair, in case they are not in use. Not only do they save space by eliminating the need for a table, but it brings back old memories as well. Lastly, for after-meeting drinks inside offices with bars, stools are the name. I really don't understand why stools are the norm for bars, though. Why do they want to build bar tables that high , anyway. So, you see, everything has to be taken into account. You cannot just start an event without getting prepared. That would be a logistic nightmare! Tags: chairs • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Something always fits something. This is something that we should all remember. There is always a good attire for a certain occassion, a good gift for a certain person, a good role for a certain actor, and you know what else. In making speeches, the right use of lectern is also influential. It depends upon the formality of the event, the effect you want to achieve, the size of the venue, and how much you can afford to buy, among others. Of course you cannot possibly buy a different lectern for every speech, which is why you have to conclude which you might always use. If you are low on budget, a simple acrylic lectern like this one might do. Well, if you'll look at it properly, its contemporary design might just suit a number of kinds of environments. It may be not that expensive, but it certainly looks one, don't you think? Now, if you are more on cash and have a larger venue, I believe Oklahoma Sound Lectern will be just perfect for those big occasions. Obviously, it's a multimedia lectern that runs both CD and tape media, both wireless or wired (AC/DC). It stands at a standard 46 inches and has a power output of 40 watts. Not bad as a large-scale lectern. Read on the article to see more specifications. You can also check out the link if you feel that what you need is not featured in this post. Just remember that even with the most beautiful lectern, a speech would be a failure if the speaker is not ready to take on his/her audience as the speaker is the main ingredient to a speech's--and possibly eventually--your event's success. So always be ready! Tags: lecterns • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Perhaps you do not remember anymore the time when I said something about how cash registers evolved during the years--from how they became large manual machines to more modern ones. As I have said in that previous post, cash registers evolve in such a way that more functions to keys are added while striving to get as little physical size as possible. Going from Item A to Item 2 has never been hat easy. But, now, comes a cash register that is more hi-tech than the previous ones. Presenting Royal's TS4240 Touch Screen LCD Cash Management System. yes, you heard it right. These babies use touch screen technology that are the norm of the industry today. This particular model from Royal has a lot of features that can be read in the user manual. For instance, it has over 200 departments and even has a hi-tech age verification system wherein on-screen prompts will show to warn customers. However, this kind of cash register cannot be afforded by many of the readers of this blog. Touch screen technology, it seems to me, cannot be taken into consideration by most small enterprises as they are fairly expensive. . So, if your company is one of these small enterprises (probably not even opened yet), then go for these low-profile suggestions like simple bookkeeping records or even run one of the low-end cash registers. In the end, anyway, it does not even matter what type of equipments you use. In the end, it all depends on how were you able to hold the same position before.
