Time will really come when USB flash drives will flood the CDs and the DVDs out of the market, but it won't be any time soon, as they still have a lot of advantages over the flash drive. Click on title or permalink to continue reading full post Tags: cd dvd labels • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

One nasty thing that can happen while you are in the shower is not being able to find where the soaps are located. Personally, it sometimes irritate me that the person who took a bath before me wasn't able to place the soaps in the agreed location. When you are in a rush while taking your bath because you're already late for work or school, the last thing that you want is the soap missing from the soap dish. That's why you have soap dishes. It's a thing that you are supposed to put the soap on. It's the little things like this that make living with somebody else a bit difficult at times. Differences in attitudes and living habits, when not discussed immediately, can put a toll on those living under one roof, including couples. How should you go about these little things? Compromise is always the key. You and the ones you live with should always meet at some point in order to smoothly run things, or one will have to give way for someone else when it comes to mundane things. If nobody wants to make a compromise, nothing beneficial can be taken out of it. It's just better to live separate lives in separate places, then. Tags: soap dishes • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Politics has always been part of human life. The quest and struggle for power has always been the object of many stories, both real and fictional. I won't be talking about politics per se in this post. Maybe a political analyst can answer that some other time. In this post, I'll be talking about how you can win in this game--the game of office politics. It is obvious from the paragraph above that every workplace that we work in is political in nature. That does not mean, however, that you have to fight with your workers, suck up to your boss (though that sometimes helps, I admit), and talking dirtily about your colleagues in order to win this game. It's about securing promotion and getting support for your ideas that will bring change to the office. Here are some short tips on how to win it: - Define your career goals and determine if playing the game will help you achieve it.There's no point politicking with your colleagues if that does not go with your career plans. More often than not, you will really have to play the political game, but evaluate first what you want to do nevertheless.
- Create strong, mutual relationships. I think it's already a given that no man is an island. There will come a point when you will be needing advice or when you will need someone to help you come out of a sticky situation. Sometimes, you will also need these close contacts to bring about the change that you want (like, say, changing the brand of wastebaskets that you use in the office?). To do this, however, you have to help your contacts succeed as well. It's always a two-way thing.
- Observe and listen before making any decision. Look around you. There might be things that you did not notice the first time around but saw it thanks to some colleagues who pointed it out for you. It's a competitive workplace. It's useful to have someone who will be on the lookout for any of your potential mistakes.

I have the same problem that many who make their living at a computer share. Legs and feet that swell due to having your legs hanging down all day while sitting.Let's face it, if your desk and chair are at a comfortable height for the keyboard so you can deal with the carpal tunnel syndrome, you probably have the chair too high to allow for proper circulation in your legs. During periods like this when time becomes a scarce commodity that has to be conserved well, we have to make the most out of every minute that we have. Sadly enough, this probably includes leisurely activities, which either have to be set aside or compressed in limited time.Click on title or permalink to continue reading full post Tags: file pockets • time off work • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

I guess there is a dryer for everything now. I never would have guessed that it would have made a difference when I cleaned my motorcycle whether I used a hair dryer or a leaf blower as long as the water came off.Now that i DO know the difference, I will never go back to just using any old tool for the job. While I try to always come home when there's still sunlight on top of me, there are just instances when I really have to go home at night, when it's all dark. I'm lucky if there's already someone else inside our place, so I won't have to worry about opening the gates and the doors but, sometimes, nobody is at home or they are already asleep, so I am left alone to let myself in. Students will always have a harder time hiding their valuables if they are living in dormitories with hundreds of other students whom they barely know. Their valuables are more susceptible to theft especially when they are unfortunate to have a kleptomaniac on board. There has to be a way to hide the valuable stuff.
