Pick your seat wisely

The right place to sit makes the difference in what you accomplish. If you sit on an uncomfortable chair or perhaps a work stool that is the wrong height, you will be thinking of nothing but your sore behind or back all day instead of focusing on your task.

I have a work area with several benches or tables of varying heights. It was important to me to be able to roll down the line to stations where I had projects in varying degrees of completion.

What Your Cubicle Space Tells About Your Job

One indicator of how important you are in an office is the space allotted for your cubicle in relation to the total office space and other cubicles. If your place seems to be only squeezed in between two other cubicles, then you can bet are not that important to the company.

For some, this is already a reason to resign. How can one work well in a company, anyway, if he/she does not feel important at all? How can he/she work if there's not enough space to spread out and do the necessary tasks assigned to him/her with ease? However, we are in recessionary times. Finding a replacement job is not as easy as it was years ago. Resigning from a job at this point is just plain crazy.

So what can you do about it? How can you feel important? I'm not really sure. It's just probably a matter of mind conditioning. I do know how to help you maximize your cubicle space, though. By maximizing the space in your cubicle, you will hopefully be able to spread out and be more efficient.

What you can do is to get yourself a stainless steel door and partition hanger. With this in hand, you will be able to hang up additional items in your cubicle's walls, such as garments and more hangers. This will save a lot of space on your desk that can be used for more important items.

Don't feel bad about having limited office space for now. At least you still have a job and a pay check to look forward to. When this is still the condition even during the best economic conditions, then that's probably the best time to get out of there and start looking for something new.

Wood literature sorters can be a scrapper's best friend

When it comes to organizing my scrapbook supplies, I think the best investment that I made was far a wood organizer that sits right on top of my craft table.

It organizes all of the elements that I need to make beautiful scrapbooks. I can store each type of paper in the different sections. That way, I don't have to sort through stacks and stacks to find just the right piece of glittery blue paper.

Someone New Is In The Office

When you get too much of the same people inside the office, any new addition will always be welcome, especially if that addition is an attractive foreigner. The only problem is that, chances are, you are not the only who noticed the new employee around. That is the case in Greg's office, where the new attractive Romanian employee becane a new source of competition for the office's men.

All of a sudden, each of the men either became Romanian or a hardcore fan of Romania, memorizing the minutest of all details like the language, the food to eat, the good places to visit, and even the country's national anthem. I do not know if the new lady is just being courteous to these men, accommodating them even though their techniques seem to be so obvious. Well, we cannot discount that, perhaps, she is just really naive.

Boys will always be boys, or so the adage goes. They will always try to make a good impression to get the most attractive members of the opposite sex, which also naturally means that they will have to compete with fellow men. This is sexual evolution working, and even the supposed civility inside the office is not enough to stop it.

Safco shelving changed the way I live and work

My name is Vicki and I am a packrat. That is what I would say if I went to a gathering of those who can't seem to realize that they can't keep collecting everything they see. Or, at least if you are going to collect it, learn that you have to organize it in some efficient manner so you will have a chance to actually use it.

I don't know how many times I have bought something, especially all those kewl scrapbook supplies like the gorgeous papers that I can't resist, the colorful card stock to contrast with, not to mention ribbons, stickers and who knows what else.
