Listing has always been a good way to remind of us things that we would have probably forget--from telephone numbers, to what-to-dos, to shopping lists, and even to password lists (avoid making password lists though). It has always been to the rescue of us people when dear Memory seems to be abandoning us. Aside its memory-aiding functions, I also find listing things to be a therapeutic and relaxing activity. Sometimes, when I feel bad about myself or about anything at all, I would list random things on paper, like the titles of movies, names of cities, Harry Potter characters (haha is it not obvious that I am crazy over the Harry Potter books?!), and other such things just to keep my restless hands on working. I find it as a useful way to release some energy and stress as well. For me, simply listing things on paper is already fine. Others, however, would still take one level higher and decorate their lists, especially girls. Those I know would take down thee lists and put up some stickers. Furthermore, they would also use glittered gel pens or colorful markers with which they will write they want to write. Talk about girly teenagers. They like decorating things, but who am I to complain? It is for therapeutic purposes and they are practicing their freedom to self-expression in the first place. Writing, in general, has always been a relaxing experience for people, whether it be as trivial as doodles written at the back of one's notebook or as intricate as making odes or haikus or even epics! It has always been a way for us to release what we have in our minds. Like what I said, it takes on different forms and listing things is one of them But whatever form you take on, writing will always be writing. It will be always sweet. I was browsing through the Office 1000 products when I came across this product: CD sleeves. What?I thought, what in the world are CD sleeves? Of course I know what are sleeves when we talk about human clothing, thank you very much--but CD clothing? Count me out. Hmmm. First I asked myself, are they some kind of tools to give your Cds a fashionable look? Do they have any functionality or are they merely there for decoration? What is there to be gained when I buy a CD sleeve? and, are these functionalities worth the tag price they are for? Believe me, I asked myself all those questions before even clicking the information page. Well, there are no images in the window I was looking at so I had no chance to have a preview of what the item is. A single statement can make wonders, no? Anyways, I decided (no, 'decided' is a strong term used for life-changing events) eventually opened the page out of dire curiosity. Voila! CD sleeves are no fashion statements. You can get a lot of functionality out of them and they cost fairly enough for their use. Wow. Should I even explain here what a CD sleeve is, given the fact that you probably knew what is it when I did not? Hmm. For the sake of prolonging this article, CD sleeves are protective casings made out of cloth wherein you insert your CDs to prevent dust particles from touching the recordable side of the CDs. You know what is it, don't you? I know you do. LOL. Speaking of protection, it's not only CDs that we protect here. We also protect any kind of sheet. Use these colored sheet protectors to do so. You can never be sure with the people who ship your goods.Last month, my mother sent us a box of goods from Kuwait. She works as a manager in a McDonald's branch there and says that many commodities there, such as canned goods, sugar, soaps, jam, and other items are way cheaper there than here in the Philippines. I assume this is also because Kuwait produces so much oil while only consuming a little of it so transportation of goods is way cheaper there. Anyway, we received the package a month later by sea freight. To our dismay, upon opening, we found out that the package was not handled well and, so, the contents of some dishwashers there spilled over all the goods. It has been a tiring night and yet we had to clean everything up. What a mess. Because of this, some of the items went straight to the wastebasket. Perhaps it's also due to the weakness of the box where the package was shipped in. It was slightly damaged and I guessed it couldn't carry the pressure of a month of handling during the shipping period. Of course what was done was done and there is no point of crying over spilled milk. I just posted to remind you people to check your packages first before officially receiving them. That was our only fault. We did not check it first. We immediately signed up. Well, most of you do that, don't you? While we here at Office 1000 strive hard to make sure that packages do come in quality condition, mistakes may happen. So do remember to check your packages before signing that recipient field. With the oh-so-many stuff that we, human beings, carry on with us, it is but right to put everything in a handy container that will, well, contain our stuff. Just imagine...how would the world be if we all had to carry our papers, pens, business cards, and all other stuff without holder--or bags at the very least?! Anyway, that's obviously impossible as it's intuitive to make something to hold our things. I am here to present to you Office 1000's various stuff holders. First off is C-Line Product's business card holders. This product obviously holds business cards for easy management. When you are in some corporate party or gathering, it is but a must to bring yourself a stack a business cards to give away to prospective customers. For this purpose, C-Line's product works best as you now have the means to store the tons of business cards you'll get from new acquaintances. The only not-so-nice thing that I find about this idea is that it appears as if you have a portfolio of business cards. It isn't the type you'll carry around with you, too. Another holder that I will show you is the CD Jewel Case Holder, also from C-Line Products. Unlike other conventional CD holders, C-Line's version is compact and easier to carry around as it only has two jewel cases in which you may put your CDs in. However, it is a double-edged sword as the advantage I have mentioned is also its disadvantage. You'll have to sort through the CDs in each case and look for them one by one. Nevertheless, if you are storing not-so-oftenly used CDs, this Case Holder will do the trick. So, there you have it. Two kins of holders that are of great use. This way, your business cards and CDs will be more organized. Just keep posted for future holder products. Tags: business card holders • cd holders • 0 Comments. - Permalink |
