What you eat has a major effect on how you perform at work

By Vicki at 08/26/2009 21:56
It is that time of year when we who live in the regions of the country who have to wait for the right season to be able to pick up some home grown fruits and veggies from local farmers.

We aren't the lucky ones who can do that all year round like those in milder climes.

How do you keep a kid happy today and give them a chance to amuse themselves without technology?

By Vicki at 08/24/2009 18:38
The answer is to keep their hands busy. Kids today are not nearly as self entertaining as we were when we were growing up.

When we were adolescents, there was no XBox 360, no Wii, no computer, no iPod, and Heaven forbid no cell phones! I mean come on, think about what we actually did to amuse ourselves?

Easi File; Minimum Advertised Price or Illegal Price Fixing, what's the real difference?

By Vicki at 08/19/2009 13:24
It is with a heavy heart for the welfare of our customers that I am letting you know that Office1000 will no longer be carrying the Easi File products on our website.

It is a decision that does not come lightly. In fact, in an uncertain economy, does it make sense to cut an entire line of products? In this case, it makes perfect sense.

Why back to school shopping is better than Christmas

By Vicki at 08/14/2009 08:24
Let's face it folks, as the kids get older, we are shopping for people who pretty much have what they need.

I think school shopping is way more fun these days than shopping for Christmas. I struggle every year to find the one thing that each kid wants that I can spend a bundle of money on for it to adorn the corner of the closet by New Year's Eve.

Why would magnet man ever take over your home?

By Vicki at 08/12/2009 07:58
You know you are getting old when your memory starts slipping. Even though I hate to admit it, the kids' jokes about getting ready to start picking out the home are starting not to be so funny.

They really aren't that mean, it is just a joke between us. But the memory thing... not so much.

You can grow old but you can't grow out of loving to shop!

By Vicki at 08/07/2009 09:28
I must have become easier to appease in my shopping habits in my old age. When I was younger, I didn't have much money (still don't due to my shopping sickness) and I was happy to just be able to afford a gallon of gas.

Much to my dismay when I turned into a teenager, gas soared upward to $.75 a gallon! I was so distressed that I may not be able to have enough money from my job to actually drive to my job AND get to enjoy some joy riding. I didn't really care about shopping too much at that point.

Worry less about the comfort of your small pets while in the car

By Vicki at 08/05/2009 22:45
I hate crating my animals when we are traveling. These dogs are members of the family and never get far away from my side when I am in my home.

It is a struggle for me to put them in cages and stick them in the back of the car. Yes, I am one of THOSE people.

Where do you keep all the precious artwork your children create in early school years?

By Vicki at 08/04/2009 20:53
I recently came across several boxes of items I had saved from when my 4 kids were in elementary school. You know the ones if you have any kids...the ones with the outlines of their hands covered in finger paint and so forth.

How in the world could I have let these precious memories get all wrinkled and rolled?

What is the most important thing you will do today?

By Vicki at 08/03/2009 10:15
What is the most important thing for me to accomplish today? Like every one of you reading this, I have a million things running through my mind on my "to do" list.

But what to do first..what is the most important thing? I just can't figure it out.
