Desiging your home office is easy and hard at the same time. It is easy to pick things that are pretty and seem like they go together, but more difficult to actually organize them into a space that productivity flows through.Since you will be spending lots of time in your new office, make sure you design it with your likes and preferences at the top of the list.
If you like a certain color, make sure you incorporate that color into your office. If you favorite color is blue for example, there are nice comfortable office chairs that will tie that color in to your office. Maybe have one blue wall or even half a blue wall. You can also use other items on your desk to tie the color as well such as blue folders, blue three ring binders ... I am sure you get the picture.
You can choose an office desk that is preconfigured for your needs without having to choose all the correct elements to go together. That is a good start, because once you have the desk and the chair, you can design the whole office around them.
Make a list of all of your small desk items, such as scissors, paper, pencils, pens, paper clips, binders and other organizational items such as desk organizers, file folders, and order them all at the same time to save on shipping costs. Make sure to use proper lighting such as a desk lamp and have a green plant or two to have fresh oxygen production all the time. Invest in a vacuum for your computer to keep the keyboard and vents clean.
