Be sure to remember forever your child's first day of school. The kindergarten child's first day is filled with many memories and they usually even bring something home with them that can be used in your scrapbook.Use something from your child's first day such as a name tag, or even ruler paper as a background. You can use almost anything they bring home to share with you to make the page stand out in your mind forever.
Try using stencil letters or even cut out typewriter letters and be sure to include a picture of your child carrying their new backpack all ready to go.
Memories are good and sorrowful both. I remember my daughter's first day of kindergarten like it was yesterday. She did NOT want to be left behind. I walked her to school every morning and it took two full weeks before she would go down the hall to her room without screaming all the way.
When it finally "happened" - going without a backward look... it made me very melancholy. Now she is in tenth grade and stands six feet tall, and I still see that little girl walking down the hall.
