Sometimes I wish I had about three extra hours of daylight in each day. There never seems to be enough time to get everything done.I guess you have to make a priority list and work from the top down. But what happens when you never make it to the bottom of the list?
Everywhere I look during the course of my work day, I see pictures of finely appointed offices, to die for desk arrangements and beautiful environments.
Then, I come back to reality and see my unorganized and cluttered desk with all those stacks of STUFF that have to be handled. Along with those hideous stacks there is plenty of dust.
Not just on top of my desk either! It is pretty bad when it comes to the point that you have to haul out the electric dust blower to be able to see a clear picture of any surface. I happen to work mainly from home, so this means I not only have a dusty work environment, but that I also have to look at the dust when I relax.
I just don't know how to cope with the lower end of my priority list. Why is cleaning always on the bottom? Well, I guess I feel that the dust will always make its way back, but if I don't feed the animals, do my work tasks and occasionally fix dinner for the people in the house, something may just have to give.
The dust never complains because I don't clean it. Perhaps that is why cleaning always goes to the bottom of the list, because the dust doesn't cry for attention.
I feel bad because I ignore the dust, but what else am I supposed to do? Suggestions welcome for delegating cleaning responsibilities.
