Think of it this way, you are sitting in your cozy office chair (that your purchased as a treat for yourself) while propping your feet on your underdesk foot rest (that your husband bought for you because your feet were swelling) and trying to decide how you can be happier...
Well, then the doorbell rings and guess who is at the door? The friendly man in brown from UPS! My favorite! He is always the bringer of happiness. Today (which is Christmas on Tuesday September 9th), he brings me a happy little package filled with desk organizing supplies. I spend the next hour (in happy time) organizing the files on my desk into colorful folders and using my colorful binder clips to make everything look neat and spiffy.
It took me about fifteen minutes on my favorite office supply website to pick out some happy items for Christmas this week. I spent a hundred dollars on the things I needed the most since I am just starting my home office, which means I didn't have to pay any shipping. Nor did I spend any money on gasoline driving around to local stores to pick up things here and there.
Now, with my little package of joy all laid out around me and getting put to use, my desk is all organized for the moment and I contemplate what I get to do next. What I do next is: I get back on my favorite office supply website and start picking out my next ingredients for Christmas next Tuesday! Maybe that new calculator since I can't seem to add in my head any more.
Maybe a new desk organizer (the one with an OUTBOX, since everything comes IN but doesn't go out), maybe that will make the paperwork flow better. All I know is that this was the happiest hour I spent all day.
Stop trying to figure out what color to paint, although I have views on decorating also. The simple solution is simple - GO SHOPPING!
