Three ways to annoy a company when you make a payment

My cable company really makes me angry. Every single night, and many times during the day, my internet connection bounces all over the place and if I am in a connection that requires a steady presence, I am kicked out and have to start all over.My many calls to them when the service is bouncing have netted no results. Therefore, I decided I would try and find ways to inconvenience them as they have me. They have a local office where you can go in and make payments. I used to have the payment deducted right from my checking account but I decided that was WAY too convenient for them. I thought about it long and hard and decided I would choose one of these payment options directly in their walk in office: - Since my bill was $147.00, how many pennies do you think I let them count out at the window? Yep, all of 14,700. (P.S. I make sure I have NOTHING else to do that day so I don't really care how long it takes them or how many people are behind me)
After I did that ONCE, they didn't even count them the second month. I was disappointed by this and had to find another way to annoy them. - I decided to try paying in one dollar bills. Not too terrible you say? Well, I guess that is true but I made sure to bring with me a bill marker and marked every single bill in the stack to show them they weren't counterfeit before i handed them over. Hilarious! They hate seeing me walk in.
- The third and final way to annoy the cable company clerks, which I still use each time I pay now, is to print a running report (which uses a lot of paper I know) of ping times and packet loss reports for the entire month. I make them go over the loss report with me for about an hour before I make my payment.
You would think they would just resolve the problem, wouldn't you? News Digest Blog Tags: • counterfeit detector pens • internet woes • annoying utilities • drimark products • - Permalink |
