After a few weeks of promising myself to buy myself one but failing to do so, I finally managed to purchase a computer mouse for my laptop. Hooray!
I don't think I have mentioned it here before, but I was getting irritated with my laptop's touchpad. I have these very sweaty palms that prevent me from having smooth interaction with my matte touchpad. I always had to put a towel on top of my touchpad just to smoothly move my fingers.
Well, that was then. Now that I have my own computer mouse to complement my notebook, navigation has never been easier. What I was looking for was a dual PS2/USB mouse, but none was available, so I had to settle for the USB variety. PS2 computer mice are available at Office 1000, though, so if you want to buy that kind of mouse, just go ahead.
I surely missed using the mouse alright. Movement is faster and smoother with the use of this "ancient" computer tool. Control is much more precise than with a touchpad, while sweaty palms won't make much of a difference in your utilization. The only drawback, obviously, is that it just adds to the bulk of the package, which is not ideal if you travel a lot.
For months and years to come, I will definitely use this mouse much more than my touchpad. Say goodbye to sticky pads!
