What kind of Neanderthal thinking led business office planners to offer a place only to visitors to hang jackets and put your wet galoshes? Why do office workers get stuck throwing your jacket over your chair and your boots dripping all over your cubicle carpet. In our office, we have fancy coat racks in the reception area. Big chrome and wood jobs that have a place for everything. Right next to the comfy arm chairs and magazine racks filled with gossipy mags and travel brochures.
In our shabby little cubicle world, we get an over the panel coat rack that consist of a little knob that won't hold anything heavier than a windbreaker.
Why, I wonder do companies want to spend so MUCH on people who visit their companies, but so LITTLE on the people that actually make it run and make them money?
Don't you think you could offer coat racks for office workers? I would be happy with that. We will leave the topic of having comfortable chairs to sit in while we work and perhaps a bigger office fridge for a later complaint.
