As I prepare to begin my journey of purchasing a new home where I will have my home office, and clearing out the old house, I am finding new ways to use supplies, and weeding out what I can use and what will be garbage.I never knew how much actual STUFF I had packratted away in this house. I am a keeper of things, thinking someday I will have a use for them.
I noticed that in the new house in what would I guess be considered the basement are a series of shelving units. I was pondering the best way to organize things such as the extra pens and pencils, markers, paper clips and so forth I had sitting in my desk taking up space.
There were a myriad of household things like spice bottles, extra candles, and even cloth napkins that we only use when company comes, that all had to have a place to go that was somewhat organized and not clogging up my main storage areas.
I have decided the best way to make use of those is to use my corrugated safco 4351 bin stockpile to organize some things on my new shelves. I purchased them a couple of years ago and was actually not even organized enough to use my organizers! I have a few of the other sizes too, but this one is the most convenient for me since it is deep front to back but doesn't take up a lot of sideways room.
Now, I am even using them in the bathroom closet to hold extra hairpins, hairbands, makeup and so forth. I can easily see exactly what is inside. I can also label the front of my bins so I don't even have to pull them out.
