I have had my personal encounter with calligraphy in the past. I think that was back then in high school, the time that I consider to be the peak of my artistic ability, assuming that I ever had that.
I did not have the luxury of using calligraphy pens back then. I only used the ordinary sign pen, which used to smudge my hand with too much ink. I wonder what would happen if I continued with this craft. Surely, possessing a calligraphic pen like the Sheaffer Calligraphy Viewpoint Pens would not have made much of a difference, but it might have increased my interest in the art by a bit.
The thing with most pens is that they are very difficult to grip, precisely because of their non-ergonomic casing. This is not the case with the Sheaffer calligraphy pens, which are encased in rubberized barrels--no need to worry about gripping the pen too much!
Each package comes with 2 jet black ink cratridges and comes in individual point sizes. You can choose from 3 different point sizes: fine, medium, and broad.
With the Sheaffer Calligraphy Viewpoint Pens, calligraphic writing is much easier and more enjoyable. I might not go back fulltime to calligraphy anymore, but with these pens, I probably will from time to time.
