It's already 2008! Thank goodness we are still alive and, hopefully, will live for another year to come. It's time to change the calendars and have a new life--not exactly an entirely different life but a life that is much better, healthier, and more prosperous than what we had in 2007.First and foremost, I think we should give our houses a new look. Eliminate those tons and tons of garbage and set things to their proper places. Although you might argue that a "proper place" is subjective, I know that you know that, for instance, magazines SHOULD be in a rack (hence, the term "magazine rack") and not on your bed when you are not reading them. Don't you feel the peace of mind it creates when things are in order?
We ourselves should have a new look (oh yes, the house comes first!). Get some scissors or some hair gel and style away. Haha. while it's women who mostly do this, it's OK for men to do it, too! Personally, I won't have a new look for this year (or for this month at the very least). There's no point following someone's advice when that someone does not follow his own advice, isn't it? Anyway...
More than the physical 'newness' that the New Year inspires, it is more important that we reassess what kind of people have we been this last year. How much have we done wrong? What kind of wrong? How have I corrected my errors? Have I corrected them, anyway? Like what they always say, there's nothing wrong with making mistakes as we are all human beings. What's more important is how we rise to correct these mistakes. Sometimes, we need to err to learn. Hopefully, we're done with the erring part and now, 2008, we'll start with the learning part, if haven't started it out yet.
Happy new year!
