Are you stuck in the same position in your company for many years already? Do you feel that your efforts are taken for granted and ignored for somebody else's? Despite this thought, do you feel that there's no place for you in other companies? Well, we can only speculate as to why you are ignored, but getting yourself bitter beside the cafeteria table won't do you any good. You probably feel it right now, or you probably don't, but it's probably it: you have to get that graduate degree if you want to move on with your career. It is not surprising if your company prefers employees with graduate degrees tucked up their sleeves. It adds credibility and authority, so why not think of getting one?
In the business scene, of course the most prefered of them all is the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. MBA programs provide students knowledge on advanced techniques in the field of business and organizational management of assets, employees, and delivery of goods. Anyone from different backgrounds can benefit from this, since we are all engaged in one business or another.
Another excellent degree that I can think of is the Masters of Economics degree. While not really different from the MBA, the Master of Economics degree is slightly different such that a program in Economics will train you in the study of the effects of the inflow and outflow of assets within your orgazanization as it relates to customers, employees, and business owners; and the study of the effects of your business/organization with respect to your location and the customers within your area of coverage.
You won't exactly go wrong with either of the two, though more people prefer to have an MBA.
