Announcing new and exciting items from Safco Products

I love new products! It is exciting to me to see all of the new innovative ideas that manufacturers come up with to add to their existing product line.

The new items for winter from Safco are being added to our website as we speak! There is a new line of AlphaBetter student furniture, designed to allow for freedom of movement for those fidgety little folks.

The very attractive Flaunt series manager and guest chairs have arrived and I can't wait to order one for myself! They come in both leather and micro fiber and look so comfortable and stylish.

Lots of new mesh office items too! There is the Onyx line of box files, desk organizer and desktop tub files that will spiff up anyone's ability to organize.

The new Apres modular storage units are not only attractive but reasonably priced. They come in both cherry and mahogany choices.

So much new stuff...so little time to look at it all! I will give you more in-depth news about each product with the links to get there as they are ready. Stay tuned for some great shopping!

Are you proud of your work ethic?

In every day life there are things we can be proud of that nobody can take away. No matter who you are, you have something to offer that says something about the person that you are.

That thing is your work ethic. A strong work ethic is something that makes the difference in you being one of those employees that your boss looks past when an important project comes up, or whether they come right to you because they know you will be the right person for the job.

What happens when a manufacturer discontinues a favorite product like Sanford's Checkpoint pencil?

Many times we, and our customers as well, are just plain out of luck when a manufacturer decides to discontinue a popular product.

Case in point this week is the 29110 Checkpoint pencil made by Sanford. It was a great product for teachers and anyone else who needed one pencil with blue at one end and red at the other.

Very useful for plans and drawings. Handy pencils for grading papers. I have no idea how manufacturers determine which products they discontinue making. Sometimes, it makes little sense to me.

The good news is that for all you lovers of the Checkpoint pencil, you DO have alternatives. Sanford also makes the Prismacolor Verithin red/blue pencil that also has the combination of colors in one pencil.

The Prismacolor line was created with the help of professional artists and designers to make it a favorite of professionals everywhere.

In December, there will be an item available on our website by the Charles Leonard Company, which will be similar in price to the 29110SAN checkpoint. That item number will be 65045LEO, so be sure to keep a lookout for that alternative as well!

How many ways can you use a lanyard?

There are some office products that can only be used for their original intended purpose. Then there are those products created that can be used for oh so many different purposes.

The lanyard is one of those items. I have found so many uses for them that I keep a box handy at all times. Here are some of the handy uses I have found:

If you dont have enough room on your desk - go to the walls!

As hard as I tried and as much as I wanted to keep my workspace on my desk free and clear of clutter and files, there simply is not enough square footage to get the job done.

What are my alternatives, I thought? Well, there is the floor where I guess I could use a rolling file, but I tried that and the paperwork never seemed to go in that file because I was afraid I would procrastinate more and not seeing would be not doing.
