Can't Find Magnetic Locker Wallpaper? - Make Your Own!

By Office1000 at 08/20/2008 15:03
Magnetic wallpaper for lockers seems to be all the rage for students right now. I have seen many articles and people searching for it. Apparently, a creative teenager was trying to find an alternative to decorating her locker without leaving the sticky residue from peeling off contact paper one of her friends had tried.

I have not personally tried to buy magnetic wallpaper, but I am sure my teenagers will be hitting me up for some this year. There are alternatives to using magnetic locker wallpaper. You could try different sized pieces of colored paper and keeping them in place with magnets from the front side.

Stop Procrastinating!

By Blog Stories at 08/17/2008 14:24
It is not only you my readers that I have to tell this message to. I also have to tell this to myself for failing to do what I have to do and due to severe procrastination.

Maybe we should ask ourselves first, why do we procrastinate? It is not logical, don't you think, to set aside duties when we know that setting it aside will just get the better of us when deadlines come.

Put Your Stinking Garbage Inside the Wastebasket!

By Blog Stories at 08/15/2008 03:47
It's good to hear that a lot of people are disciplined enough to throw their trash where they are supposed to be thrown in. This fact alone reinforces my belief that there a lot of people who still cares about their surroundings.

I'm not sure whether all of them has the environment inside their heads whenever they throw their trash in the right locations, but I am sure that a fair number of them do this for aesthetic reasons.

Just think about an office space littered with tons of trash, all getting rotten due to the time they spent on the floor, unthrown, and you will know what I mean.

Environmental reasons aside, it is somewhat unappealing to see an office looking like a large trash bag or smelling like rotten fish. This just reflects on how the workers in that office practice their duties. It leaves a bad impression to potential clients and harms potential profits.

Like what is constantly mentioned in this blog, work efficiency go hand-in-hand with office hygiene. Bad hygiene inside the office may prohibit workers from actually doing what they are supposed to do. This does not include cleanliness of the body but the cleanliness of the surroundings itself.

Wastebaskets are not expensive, so I do not see the point of not buying enough trash bins. On the other side of the spectrum, I do not see why office workers are not able to throw their trash in the right places when trash bins are abundant--and remember to have your trash regularly collected by the garbage collector. We don't want stinking trash stored inside the bins, either.

Do You Believe in Luck?

By Blog Stories at 08/14/2008 12:42
It is obvious that the East is already exerting much influence over the East. For instance, I am not sure with your office, but I am sure that there are a lot of offices in your block that underwent feng shui consultation before the final design was implemented. According to feng shui, good and bad energies may flow to your workplace depending to the location and material of the things that can be found in it.

There is no scientific evidence supporting feng shui. This is what the Western thinker will say. But that was years ago. A lot of Westerners are already considering feng shui concepts when arranging their offices. Nobody's complaining, anyway.e

Aside from feng shui, a pretty large number of professionals, all clad in suits and formal dresses, believe in luck that can be drawn from otherwise mundane items like karmalogy beads and gemstones. They are not only thought to bring good luck. These beads are also thought to exert enegy that seeks to counterbalance our lives.

I've seen a lot of these lucky charms. People seem to believe in these things. Once, I asked a friend why she believes in these items and she told me that nothin much is lost, anyway, so there is no harm in trying. Good point, I must say.

Whether there is any truth behind these things, we can never know. It is already a matter of choice if one believes in its claimed powers. After all, it is not others' money that is used for another person's good luck charms. Well, normally it isn't.

Appreciating those Wind-Up Running Animals

By Blog Stories at 08/11/2008 13:03
It's been quite a while since I last posted here. Academics has been taking its toll on me for the last few days. Whoever thought university life could be this difficult? Uh, well, I did.

Interestingly, my professors seem to like setting the deadline for all the requirements for their classes on a single day. Take my Algorithms professor, for example. He gave us a take-home examination that should be submitted this day. He also gave us a series of problem sets that should be submitted today. That does not stop there. He also gave us a problem that we should solve on our computers and whose deadline is--yes, that is right once again--today. Have I told you that I have other obligations as well?

About Laptop Bags

By Blog Stories at 08/04/2008 18:13
What do you think of your laptop bag? Are you happy with it or would you rather have it thrown in the garbage bin?

Personally, I like the material in which my laptop bag is made. The bag's body is made up of leather, with some areas covered in this rubber-like substance. It has a large capacity, good enough to contain my laptop, my notebook, and some papers. It would've been an excellent companion if not for only one thing.

Breast Cancer Awareness

By Blog Stories at 08/04/2008 12:41
Health, even though we ignore it sometimes, is important if we want to go ahead and continue our work. With poor health, one cannot possible expect himself or herself to be top-caliber when it comes to the obligations he or she faces.

Maybe we are still young today to even bother with our health, but in the long run, we will surely regret this as our bodies will slowly show the effects of the abuses we put unto it.

Being Handy Is Being Impressive

By Blog Stories at 08/01/2008 04:17
Some items just need to be brought more with the owner than the others.

Two things that anyone who has a busy, cosmopolitan life shoud bring is a pen and a laptop computer. This is quite easy to explain. A pen should be always brought in case of situations wherein the owner need to sign forms. I, myself, have been very learned in this skill, having the need to write things up just to find out that nobody in the room has a pen.
